NOTES FROM THE DEAN
Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
It is with immense gratitude to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala for this opportunity to represent the Islamic Science Institute (ISI) to greet you in the spirit of learners of knowledge and wisdom.
It is indeed a trust to lead this institute with aspirations that embody the name of the university and to highlight the dynamism of Islamic intellectualism that transcends disciplines. USIM’s aspiration in the integration of ‘Ilm Al-Naql and ‘Ilm Al-Aql is based on the affirmation that knowledge should be acquired with an Islamic worldview that acknowledges the coherence between religious sciences and non-religious sciences. It is through this integration that we can develop solutions to the complex challenges of our time, informed by both divine guidance and human intellect.
We take great pride in offering undergraduate courses in Islamic sciences, aiming to instill a profound understanding of the Islamic worldview in approaching knowledge among the students of USIM. Additionally, we provide postgraduate academic programs at the master’s and PhD levels in Islamic sciences, welcoming prospective students from around the globe to join our academic community.
As we look toward 2025, I would like to emphasize the critical importance of strengthening collaborations—both nationally and internationally. In an increasingly interconnected world, it is essential that our efforts extend beyond borders, fostering partnerships that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of shared values. We look forward to meaningful collaborations in Islamic sciences that will foster a deeper understanding, mutual respect, and shared progress for the betterment of humanity.
We encourage you to visit our website to learn more about our programs. We hope you find your exploration both informative and enjoyable.
Wa billahi tawfiq wal hidayah.
Wassalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
